Tell us a bit about yourself, how did you start your career?
I started my career at young age first traveling to see the fundamental differences in cultures and the way people do business since graduating from Cambridge Untied Kingdom I later found myself in Europe and eventually in the Middle East I aspired to take on as much as possible concentrating on many smaller projects for British companies that were in the region saying Yes to almost every opportunity and then figuring out how to do it later. I always delivered. The main dominating industry at the time was construction and engineering. By offering my services quick and more cost affective I reached high success and then by subletting tenders out to other trades and rival companies I figured out how to get paid whilst operating a company but giving out the scope. Profiting from more than one revenue stream.
More opportunities arose and more responsibility came my way as I entered government contracts and eventually entering defense contracting internationally.. this lead me to other ventures and other industries. Hospitality, banking saw me have greater and rapid success.
Eventually I found myself working directly for governments and the British embassy directly as a vendor where I sought the opportunity to create change in sustainability and thus Inventing a new type of sustainable vehicle for the future.
I capitalised on the contacts available in this industry sector.
You are the founder of one of the fastest growing resort chain in the Caribbean, what prompted you to found Blue Diamond Resorts?
At a young age I’d spent time in many hotels, from travels I’d seen and experienced all the different services the world had to offer. Visiting nearly 100 counties at the time.
I knew then investing into a certain group and founding the blue diamond brand word work. It sparked me off to do something different and capitalize on what I knew would work. Expanding as a visionary and focusing on customer experience.
You are the business partner of The Private Office Of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Faisal Al Qassimi tell us a bit about this unique partnership?
I’ve always looked to have a strong circle in business and I believe having the right partnerships is key to success.
I’ve been most fortunate to partner with the UAE royal family office adding brand value to the county and increasing our company exposure particularly in line with sustainable incentives of being net zero carbon emissions by 2030 in the this region.
This works extremely well together as we each share the same vision and wish to solve a problem for humanity as we extend past country boarders strongly.
Currently you have a new and very exciting project with Aura sustainable Vehicles & Energy, can you tell our readers something about your new project?
Our project Aura sustainable Vehicles is so unique we have developed a worlds first modular vehicle that actually generates energy from thin air. we are the most sustained vehicle In the world. And the most affordable to own. We harness clean free energy from the sun in the atmosphere .. this is then directed to cells in the car that can later be removed to power house hold Items, charge laptops & tablets and even plug in your tv for free electricity use.. all generated from your car. Moreover these cells will be available in a form of battery swap bank making this a quick switch in seconds at certain locations- from a depleted battery to a full one swapping them out in no time to extend the vehicles range.
In your opinion, what is the biggest challenge facing the sustainability industry today?
The biggest challenge today is the cost of raw materials, the scarcity as not many are in abundance this what drives the prices up on all electric vehicles particularly the battery sourcing.
Governments too need to get behind the incentives to create change in this industry.
What’s been the biggest turning point in your career?
The biggest turning point in my career would have to be when I successful floated both my first and then 2nd company on the stock market the first being on the New York stock exchange in the US and then years later developing growing and having my 2nd company IPO on the London FTSE 💯 these have been key miles stones at points in my life where it required me to level up as an individual and grow with the business as tikes we’re very tough.
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learnt in your career?
Keep things simple & That things are possible if you stay consistent and true to your goal.
What is one motto you life by?
Keep things private, work in silence until your ready to say checkmate and always surround yourself with likeminded people. Never chase money chase success and the money will follow.
