Here we share Dr Yannis’ Top Treatments for 2025
Micrografting
Dr Yannis is increasingly incorporating Micrografting into his facelift surgeries. This long lasting, biocompatible alternative to Dermal Filler, also known as Facial Fat Transfer is an innovative method that has revolutionised the way he approaches facial rejuvenation – and with good reason. Micrografting allows me to offer my patients a more natural, long-lasting solution compared to traditional dermal fillers.
Understanding Micrografting
The process of Micrografting involves harvesting the patient’s own fat cells, typically from areas such as the abdomen or thighs, using a Liposuction technique. The fat is then purified and meticulously injected into targeted areas of the face, such as the cheeks, temples, undereye area or nasolabial folds, to restore volume and improve contours with beautifully natural results. Micrografting utilises the body’s own fat, making it biocompatible, and minimizing the risk of rejection and allergic reactions.
Polynucleotides
A collagen-stimulating treatment that works with the body’s processes. 111 Harley St. introduced these bio-stimulating polynucleotides in 2022 and were immediately impressed with the results. These treatments, that continue to grow in popularity are often combined with other advanced injectables, allowing patients to maintain youthful skin, improve texture, and promote long-term collagen production.
Understanding Polynucleotides
Dubbed the ‘Salmon Sperm Treatment’ by the media, polynucleotides are natural biological compounds derived from DNA or RNA and have remarkable healing properties. When injected into the skin, they stimulate cellular repair, improve texture, and address various signs of ageing. Polynucleotide treatments stand out due to their ability to improve skin appearance in the short term while promoting long-term rejuvenation.
Polynucleotide injections are particularly effective for treating delicate facial areas, such as the mid-face and under-eye region, which often show early signs of ageing. These injectables promote cell regeneration and increase collagen and elastin synthesis, producing a powerful reparative effect on skin cells. This revitalisation restores skin vitality, improving texture and elasticity diminished by ageing.
In the mid-face region, including the cheeks and nasolabial folds, collagen stimulation can restore volume and restructure the skin, resulting in a natural lift. I typically recommend a minimum of two treatments, with results continuing to build 6–8 weeks post-treatment.
Bio-Collagen Stimulation and Skin Regeneration
The core benefit of polynucleotide treatments lies in their ability to stimulate bio-collagen production. Collagen is crucial for skin structure and firmness, which diminishes with age, causing laxity, lines, and wrinkles.Polynucleotide injections combat these issues by encouraging fibroblasts, the cells responsible for collagen production, to increase activity. This bio- stimulation process yields natural-looking results that improve over time, enhancing skin texture and tone while promoting a youthful, radiant complexion.
Exosomes – The Future of Regenerative Aesthetics
With research-backed claims to promote cell-to-cell communication within the skin, these nanoparticles deliver excellent results and are increasingly something Dr Yannis and his practitioners at 111 Harley St. incorporate into treatment plans to address a multitude of concerns. Patients at 111 Harley St. are increasingly adding Exosomes to their treatment plans, thanks largely to their power to improve skin and gain visible results from the first session. It’s not just non-surgical patients, however, Dr Yannis recommends many of his surgical patients have these treatments to boost their skin quality and to treat concerns such as skin laxity and pigmentation.
Understanding Exosomes
Small but mighty, Exosomes are tiny extracellular vesicles ranging from 30 to 150 nanometres in diameter. They are released by various cell types within the body and are rich in proteins, lipids, and ribonucleic acid (also known as RNA). Their primary function is to facilitate intracellular communication, which in turn influences processes within the body, meaning they play a key part in the pathways that signal inflammation, tissue repair, and immune responses. Naturally released by the skin cells, Exosomes contain amino acids, peptides, and growth factors, and like collagen and elastin, they play an essential role in keeping skin plump, which gives a youthful impression. The Exosomes used at 111 Harley St. are plant-based, having been derived from the Damask Rose and harvested from the stem cells within the plant. The Damask Rose is widely known to hold antioxidant and anti-ageing properties that prove beneficial to the skin, and exosomes from this source are a powerhouse of positive skin benefits.
One of the preferred ways to treat using Exosomes is via RF Microneedling. This method allows for the creation of channels in the skin and the Exosomes to safely reach greater depths, making them all the more effective. By travelling between fibroblasts within the body and subsequently transferring their signals – growth factors, cytokines, and peptides – the production of collagen and elastin in the skin is dramatically increased. When delivered into the skin, these super-charged treatments can achieve outstanding results and give the skin an enhanced ability to regenerate. Exosomes are extremely powerful when it comes to collagen and elastin production, and when incorporated into aesthetic treatments can increase collagen by 300% and elastin by 100%.
Rejuvenation and Versatility
The regenerative powers of Exosomes are well documented, with much research backing their ability to treat sensitive or compromised skin effectively. When the skin is weakened, it can lead to many different problems, and the 111 Harley St. non- surgical team consult regularly with patients who experience skin issues due to a compromised skin barrier.
Patients are consistently seeing good improvements for the treatment of widened pores, pigmentation (including sun damage), and skin laxity concerns, all of which contribute to a less youthful appearance. In addition, positive changes to the overall vitality of the skin from Exosome treatments can be seen.
111 Harley St. have now extended our Exosome offering to encompass different delivery methods and treatment areas, with Exosomes for hair and scalp concerns being the most recent addition.
Jaw and Chin Sculpting Procedures and Treatments
Submental (Chin) Liposuction
Chin Liposuction is a minor procedure that produces a massive transformation to the overall facial aesthetic. With jaw-defining and sculpting results, it can reveal a shape to your chin the patient never thought they had.
This procedure is ideal for those looking to reduce unwanted fat beneath the chin or dramatically reduce the appearance of a double chin – which is why Submental Liposuction (the formal name for Chin Liposuction,) is often the most popular surgical intervention to explore. It has become an attractive option to many 111 Harley St. patients, because as a stand-alone procedure it can be performed under local anaesthesia and has less recovery compared to Liposuction on a larger body area. Dr Yannis’ personal technique can offer Neck Lift-like results for his patients.
Thermage JawSculpt
With Thermage JawSculpt, which includes our skin-tightening treatment Thermage FLX and Masseter Botox Injections, 111 Harley St offer their patients a way to enhance their natural bone structure and achieve the jawline of their dreams without filler or surgery.
Thermage FLX works to improve the skin’s structure on a dermal level, while Masseter Botox Injections give the more immediate and visible results you’d expect from most skin treatments. By combining two of the clinics most popular Non-Surgical Treatments and Injectables together they are able to create definition to the lower face with the sought-after ‘snatched jaw’.
Thermage utilises radiofrequency and when emitted on the skin, these radio waves are converted to thermal energy which can reach into the deepest dermal layers. By first heating the superficial layer of skin, before penetrating deep into the dermis, Thermage causes cellular reactions that stimulate collagen and elastic activity as well as an immediate contraction of the skin tissues. The biggest benefit from this
interaction is that it delivers a tightening and lifting effect perfect for contouring the jawline.
As the Thermage treatment helps to rebuild the skin’s structure by strengthening the skin’s foundation, the effect of the Masseter Botox in Thermage JawSculpt will be dramatically enhanced as well as any other injectable or skin treatment you have in the future.
Mono Threads
The latest PDO Soft Thread Lift treatment from 111 Harley St., Mono Threads is performed by our trained and experienced Aesthetic Nurse Prescriber, Claudia. This new technique for treating the lower face and under the chin, reduces the appearance of a double chin, mild jowling and can help achieve a defined, youthful contour of the lower face.
A Mono Thread Lift is a minimally-invasive aesthetic treatment that uses ultra-fine threads to lift and tighten sagging skin. These nano threads are inserted just beneath the surface of the skin using a fine needle and cannula, where they naturally stimulate collagen production to restore a firmer, smoother contour.
The Mono Threads are made from a smooth thread (unlike other threads which have micro- cones or can be called ‘barbed threads’) and stimulates facial tissue to produce collagen and a volumising effect. The difference between smooth and ‘barbed’ Soft Threads are that the smooth thread works work mainly to stimulate collagen, while the barbed ones are used to achieve a more dramatic lift.
One of the benefits of smooth threads are they can ensure much smoother entry when placed in the skin. The threads themselves are made of bio-compatible fibres consisting of polymers which are chains of molecules or materials: Mono Thread Lifts are made of polydioxanone (PDO) which has collagen-stimulating effects once absorbed by the body.
Soft Thread Lifts are a great way to lift the face as well as benefit from the long-term collagen production they induce, so they are an appealing option for someone looking for an improvement in skin quality and tautness.
