The Best Sheet Masks for Radiant Skin

The impact of a sheet mask is not appreciated enough. Many people overlook them when buying skincare, or dismiss them as an expensive gimmick, however these little gems can make a phenomenal difference to your skin, if you choose the right ones. I’ve tested every sheet mask known to man and these are the five that I return to time and time again as I know they will rescue my skin when I need it, or simply keep my skin hydrated and looking its most radiant day to day. Add these to your basket to continue 2024 right.

This is a bio-cellulose mask that feels like a thin second skin. It’s the most calming and soothing of the masks, and is designed to calm, nourish and hydrate stressed skin. This beautiful rose-scented mask is a clinic-designed mask by Dr Anita J Sturnham and it is suitable for even the most sensitive of skins. If you want to glow with natural health and hydration, this is the mask for you.

Seoulista Beauty Gold Glow Instant Facial – £14 for 1, Seoulista Beauty

This sheet mask is made from biodegradable bio-cellulose, so you get a tight fit to the skin. It is designed to be applied from the fridge and combines unique botanical ingredients with this cooling cryo effect, to leave skin glowing and firm. It cools the skin, soothes, depuffs, and promotes blood and nutrient circulation to drive the ingredients the mask is infused with deeper into the skin. This will really give you the plump, firm glowing results of an in-clinic facial.

Bioeffect Imprinting Hydrogel Mask – £75 for 6, Bioeffect

Bioeffect is a brand that’s adored across the world for its hydrating properties. The brand utilises the powers of EGF, a growth factor protein whose natural production depletes with age. It’s responsible for helping maintain the production of hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin to keep skin firm and dense. Bioeffect uses their own plant-based EGF from barley to mimic the effects of EGF that would naturally be in your skin when younger. It’s deeply moisturising, cooling and calming and is a mask you should be using at least weekly.

By Terry Baume de Rose Hydrating Sheet Mask – £15 from By Terry

The delightful signature sheet mask from By Terry has a divine rose scent. Made with pure Rose Oil, real Rose Petals as well as high-quality Rose Damascena and Black Rose Extract, this mask is designed to deeply hydrate and boost radiance. As the burst of moisture plumps the skin, fine lines are diminished. There’s also antioxidant Vitamin E to protect your skin from environmental aggressors, to help prevent further signs on aging.

111Skin Celestial Black Diamond Lifting and Firming Face Mask – £100 for 5, 111Skin

111Skin is definitely one of the most luxurious skincare brands in the world, and they are particularly known for their celebrity-favourite sheet masks. The Celestial Black Diamond is the most indulgent one and it’s designed to firm and lift the skin, as well as soothe and hydrate, to give a fresh, youthful glow. Made from Hydrogel, it comes in two halves so that you can get a close fit for your own face shape. Firming triple-action Goji Glycopeptides and calming Centella Asiatica are the stars of the show.

Garnier Anti-Fatigue Hyaluronic Acid and Icy Cucumber Cryo Jelly Face Mask – £5 from Boots

Another mask to utilise the power of cryo, this mask gives skin a real cooling effect whether kept in the fridge or not. This immediately tightens and firms the skin and boosts blood circulation for a healthy glow. Don’t be fooled by the low price point – this mask is a real winner that competes with the luxury brands in terms of performance. Hyaluronic Acid and Glycerin deeply hydrate, and menthol gives that cooling effect. If you have sensitive skin, you should avoid this one.

These are all masks that can be used every day in place of a serum, and daily use will transform your skin. However, even a couple of times per week or just before a special event, these masks will make a noticeable difference and will get you red carpet ready.
