New-In Beauty Products you need to know for Autumn
Summer is coming to a close and it’s time to look ahead to the last quarter of the year. If you missed out on any new-in beauty products over the summer holidays, I have some of the best for you to take with you into a new season.
Jimmy Choo Rose Passion – £50 from The Perfume Shop
This is such a beautiful, feminine fragrance. As it’s name suggests, it’s predominantly a floral scent, but it’s definitely more diverse than just being a rose scent. Several other blooms makeup this fragrance, including frangipani, jasmime and orchid. Then coconut milk, vanilla and sandalwood give a tropical and sweet edge. A perfect scent for summer as its almost like a walk on a Caribbean island in a bottle!
Aveda nutriplenish Replenishing Overnight Hair Serum – £42 from Aveda
Once you start using this serum, you’ll lament the fact you didn’t have it your whole life. This gives your hair a serious hydration boost and a dose of nourishing vitamins and fortifying lipids. The spray creates an invisible coating around your hair, locking in all that moisture and nutrients. Expect soft, smooth and seriously healthy looking hair when you wake up. It will make a difference to even the driest of hair. Pomegranate seed oil hydrates and revitalises hair that’s dull and dry. dull, coconut oil further hydrates and softens the hair, and mango butter nourishes and adds shine.
Sol de Janeiro Firmeza Bum Bum Body Oil – £52 from Boots
The cult Bum Bum scent is now in body oil form. The bottle is a really generous size too. This is a glorious, non-greasy oil that contains Sol de Janeiro’s patented Guaraná Caffeine+ Complex, just like the moisturiser. This is a blend of antioxidant-packed Brazilian extracts that stimulate microcirculation to aid lymphatic drainage and firm the skin. Used regularly, along with some massage, and you will really notice a difference. The oil also hydrates the skin and gives it a dose of healthy vitamins and minerals.
Tatcha Forest Awakening Hinoki Body Wash – £35 from Tatcha
The first body offering from Tatcha is the result of an incredible amount of scientific research and product development. It’s designed to be grounding and uplifting, evoking images of a fresh, green forest full of tress and botanicals. It has been designed with the principles of the wellness ritual of forest bathing, which is said to reduce stress, improve sleep and boost the immune system. Tatcha are bringing the forest to you in a bottle, so that you can experience these same benefits. It honestly smells incredible.
Gisou Golden Shimmer Lip Oil – £24 from Gisou
The original Gisou Lip Oil achieved cult status almost immediately, and now they’ve upped the game by introducing a shimmery version. The shimmer is so finely-milled that it adds the most incredible shine to the lips. Expect a wow moment when you apply. Like the original oil, it’s non-sticky and very hydrating and nourishing. Gisou’s key ingredient Mirsalehi Honey is the star of the show, as it’s packed with nourishing vitamins and antioxidants, and is very soothing and softening.
Kelsey Skin Mother of Masks Rapid Radiance Mask – £55 from Kelsey Skin
The sustainable efforts of this brand really should be applauded. The founder owns a working farm and they developed some skincare products when wondering what to do with a lot of by-products from the farm. As a result, a raspberry range was created to use all those leftovers. The products have no added scent and all have a countryside earthiness to them. This mask is designed to brighten the skin and boost radiance. It pairs glycolic acid with gentler fruit acids to exfoliate dead skin cells and reveal the glowing new skin underneath. There’s also amino acids to stimulate collagen production and maintain your skin’s optimum moisture levels.
Garnier Anti-Fatigue Hyaluronic Acid & Icy Cucumber Cryo Jelly Face Mask – £4.99 from Boots
I am a huge fan of Garnier skincare. It’s my favourite high street brand. Their sheet masks are especially good and are so affordable. These new masks have all the hydrating benefits of a sheet mask, but also work to the principles of Cryotherapy, to cool, awaken, firm and revitalise your skin. The Cryo elements comes from its ability to cool the skin by 7 degrees and the cooling tingle from its menthol ingredient. As well as it’s Hyaluronic Acid, there’s also Glycerin to hydrate and lock in that moisture.
